Eligible home batteries can already earn rewards through PPL’s Optimized Battery or PECO’s Flex & Save. These are utility battery programs, separate from PJM wholesale-market participation.

The next opportunity is to bring distributed energy resources—batteries, solar, and controllable loads—together through a qualified DER aggregator. The aggregator would register the combined resource with PJM, make market offers, and handle settlement. Each site would first need to meet the applicable utility, equipment, metering, and program requirements.

AAI Renewables is building the site-side service for that path: commissioning, monitoring, backup-reserve protection, battery availability, operating limits, and response to authorized dispatch. Your agreed backup reserve comes first, and participation would depend on eligibility and approval. PJM revenue is not guaranteed.

If you have a battery or are planning one, reply and we can review what is available now and how to prepare your site for what comes next.
